This privacy policy is here to help you understand what information we collect at BrewLog and how we use it. When we talk about BrewLog in this policy, we are talking about the company, BrewLog, LLC., and the BrewLog web application at www.brewlog.com.
We collect and use the following information to provide, improve and protect BrewLog:
When you register for BrewLog, we ask for personal information such as your name and e-mail address, as well as certain related information like your brewery name.
We collect billing address and credit card information if you purchase a paid subscription of BrewLog. Credit card information is securely passed to our payment-processing partner and is not stored at BrewLog.
We collect information from and about the devices you use to access BrewLog. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, and identifiers associated with your devices.
Cookies are small text files sent by us to your computer and from your computer to us, each time you visit our website. They are unique to your BrewLog account or your browser. Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser deletes them or until they expire.
Cookies help us with things like logging you in or keeping you logged in between visits. If you access the Service through your browser, you can manage your cookie settings there - but if you disable all cookies, you will not be able to use BrewLog.
BrewLog is committed to ensuring the security of your personal information. We utilize robust precautions to protect the confidentiality and security of the personal information within BrewLog. We also continue to work on features to keep your information safe. We encrypt the transmission of all information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). These technologies, procedures and other measures are used in an effort to ensure that your data is safe, secure, and only available to you and to those you authorized to access your data.
However, while we attempt to protect all information you send to us and we maintain to provide BrewLog to you, please note that no connection through the Internet and data storage facilities are entirely immune from unauthorized hacking and access. You can help us by protecting your username and password and using BrewLog only through secure networks.
You can read more about our security practices here.
Your private data will be kept secure and private as detailed above. It may need to be processed by other people or third party purposes. We will only share such information for the following purposes:
We may host and process data, including personal information, in the United States through third parties that we use to operate and manage the Service. When you access or use BrewLog, or otherwise provide information to us, you are consenting, on behalf of you and your authorized Agents or End-Users, (and representing that you have the authority to provide such consent) to the processing and transfer of information to those third parties.
If you sign-up for a free trial account, you are not required to enter your credit card information unless and until you decide to continue with a paid subscription to BrewLog. A third-party intermediary is used to manage credit card processing. This intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use your billing information for any purpose except for credit card processing on BrewLog's behalf.
For quality and technical support purposes, select BrewLog employees may review your data. These employees will access your information only to perform tasks on behalf of and in compliance with this privacy policy.
BrewLog uses trusted third party cloud service providers to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote our services (for example, Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how users interact with brewlog.com). These third parties will access your information only to perform tasks on our behalf and in compliance with this privacy policy.
If you delete your BrewLog account, we will delete all of your personal information and brewing data. Please note: (1) there might be some latency in deleting this information from our servers and back-up storage; and (2) we may retain this information if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. To delete your account, contact us at support@brewlog.com.
We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law; (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury; (c) prevent fraud or abuse of BrewLog or our users; or (d) protect BrewLog's property rights.
If we are involved in a reorganization, merger, acquisition or sale of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will notify you (for example, via a message to the email address associated with your account) of any such deal and outline your choices in that event.
We may revise this privacy policy from time to time, and will post the most current version on our website. If a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify you.
